Jaisalmer Fort
The gold hued fort stands 80 meters over the city
with 99 bastions, housing the entire township within
its ramparts. Walking though the narrow lanes is an
experience worth savouring. In the afternoon from
vyas cenetophs one gets splendid sight of the fort
as if washed in gold. Jaisalmer is famous for its
intricately latticed havelis(residential houses)
built in yellow limestones. |

Patwon ki Haveil |

This the largest and the most elaborate haveli in
Jaisalmer. It is 5 story high and extensively
carved. |

This haveli was of 2 brothers. It has superb
carvings on walls and windows on close look one can
spot the difference of carvings and motifs in the
building belonging to the 2 brothers |

Salim Singh was the most powerful minister of the
Jaisalmer rulers. The building built in yellow
limestone has cupula roof and facade carved all over
and has exquisite balconies. |

gate, temples and house with elaborate carvings. |

capital of Bhati rulers. Ruins of this ancient town
could be seen. It has an important Jain temple. |

60 Kms, the village of Khuri is also popular for
camel rides as it has vast sand dunes. By prior
arrangements one can visit the royal family of Khuri
where you would be entertained over cocktails,
